Proof before pitch.

Why now

Three forces are hitting at once. Insurers are leaving high-risk areas fast. States are turning fire rules into law. And the Wildland-Urban Interface keeps growing each year. These forces won’t reverse. They’re pushing a market that left this problem to homeowners toward a real fix.

The gap

That’s the real gap Pyrskene exists to close. Not “wildfire is bad” — a clear scientific answer that hasn’t reached homes yet. Full details, with sources: our Science page.

What we’re building

Pyrskene builds defense at the point homes catch fire: embers, heat, and direct flame. Not the fire as a whole. It works on homes that stand today, not just new ones. It won’t depend on a homeowner’s memory. Or on power and water that often fail first. We can’t share the mechanism yet. That’s for direct talks, usually under NDA.

Where we are

We’re not raising yet. Right now, we’re in review. We show the design to outside experts first. Real critique, before we scale. Before we ask for funds. This isn’t a delay. It’s how we work: find the flaws early, from people who’d know. Before a customer does. Before a fire does.

Active Conversations

  • Fire & structural engineers – They check the design against how homes ignite.
  • Materials scientists – They test how well the materials hold up.
  • Code officials & regulators – An early check on how this fits fire codes.
  • Insurance underwriters – A gut check: would an insurer price this in?

[We’ll name names once they agree to be named.]

What’s next

Once expert feedback shapes the design, next comes a funded proof-of-concept. We’ll build a working version. We’ll test it against the same standards researchers use today. We plan for 18 to 24 months. Three terms are still being set with counsel: Raise size, SAFE or priced round, Use of funds.

We’ll share these with investors in active talks.

Talking with us now

This page is for one kind of talk. Early, not a live raise. Reach out now and you’ll see our expert review as it happens. You’ll get to ask questions before we set terms. You’ll get first access when the real round opens. We’re picky about who we talk to now. The same way we’re picky about our first hires. A few right talks beat a lot of generic ones.
